vivo X Fold5 to Launch Soon with Slimmer, Lighter Design Than iPhone 16 Pro Max – Specs, Features & Camera Details Revealed

vivo made waves earlier this year with the X Fold3, but it’s now gearing up to launch its next-gen foldable – the vivo X Fold5. Interestingly, the company is skipping the “Fold4” name, jumping straight to the X Fold5, expected to debut on July 10 alongside the vivo X200 FE.
In a recently posted teaser, vivo highlighted that the X Fold5 weighs just 219g, making it even lighter than its predecessor. A company official also shared side-by-side comparison images of the vivo X Fold5 and the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. The photos show the foldable is thinner when unfolded and only slightly thicker when folded—a remarkable feat considering the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 8.3mm thick, while the older X Fold3 measured 10.2mm when folded.
