Huawei Pura 80 Series Goes Global: Pura 80 Ultra Leads with 1” Sensor, Dual Telephoto & 100W Charging

Huawei is officially bringing its Pura 80 series—including the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Ultra—to global markets after its initial China launch last month. While availability in Europe remains uncertain, the flagship trio is now heading to regions across Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.
Pura 80 Ultra: A Photography Powerhouse

The star of the series is undoubtedly the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra, designed for photography enthusiasts. It packs an impressive 1-inch RYYB 50MP main sensor, complete with a variable aperture lens and a groundbreaking 16 stops of dynamic range.

Huawei didn’t stop there. The Pura 80 Ultra also debuts a 1/1.28-inch periscope telephoto sensor with dual switchable lenses—an 83mm (3.7x) 50MP and a 212mm (10x) 12.5MP module. A micron-level motor physically switches between the two zoom lenses, a setup built from over 140 intricate components.
You’ll also find a 13mm equivalent 40MP ultrawide camera, rounding out one of the most advanced triple-camera systems on any phone today.

Performance, Display, and Charging

The Pura 80 Ultra features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED (FHD+ 120Hz) display, Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9020 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Powering all of this is a large 5,700mAh battery, supported by 100W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
In the UAE, the Pura 80 Ultra is priced at AED 5,100 (~$1,400), though taxes may push prices higher in other markets.

Pura 80 and Pura 80 Pro: Flagship Experience at Lower Price

The Pura 80 Pro gets the same 1-inch 50MP main sensor as the Ultra, but scales back the telephoto to a 93mm (4x) with a wider f/2.1 aperture. It’s also paired with a 40MP ultrawide camera. The display remains a 6.8-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED.
The standard Pura 80 brings a 6.6-inch screen and more modest camera specs:

50MP main shooter with variable f/1.4–f/4.0 aperture

12MP 5x periscope telephoto

13MP ultrawide camera

Global Rollout & Regional Availability
While the Pura 80 series has yet to appear on Huawei's European and UK websites, regional teasers across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East suggest a broader rollout is underway.
