Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Teased Ahead of July 10 Global Debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Hyundai has officially teased the upcoming Ioniq 6 N, confirming its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 10. This high-performance electric sedan builds on the success of the Ioniq 5 N and marks the next major milestone for Hyundai’s N performance division.
The Ioniq 6 N draws clear inspiration from the 2022 RN22e concept, blending the sleek “streamliner” profile of the standard Ioniq 6 with motorsport-inspired elements. Hyundai’s signature Performance Blue paint, red N accents, swan-neck rear wing, aggressive bumpers, and wider fenders give it an unmistakably race-ready stance.
Under the skin, Hyundai has made major changes to differentiate the Ioniq 6 N from its crossover sibling. Engineers have developed a fully reworked suspension geometry with a lower roll center, longer caster trail, and new electronically controlled stroke-sensing dampers. These upgrades are designed to take full advantage of the sedan’s lower center of gravity and aerodynamic efficiency.
Expect enhanced driver engagement, too. Updated versions of N e-Shift and N Active Sound+ now operate in all modes, simulating traditional gear changes with closer virtual gear ratios and an N Ambient Shift Light to guide your timing. The improved N Drift Optimiser allows more precise control over drifting behavior, clearly aimed at serious enthusiasts (on the track, of course).
While Hyundai hasn't revealed final specs, the Ioniq 6 N is expected to borrow the dual-motor AWD setup from the Ioniq 5 N, delivering up to 641 horsepower (478 kW) with N Grin Boost, and powered by the same 84 kWh battery.
Joon Park, VP and Head of N Management Group, emphasizes that the Ioniq 6 N is built to deliver “the most engaging driving experience possible in an EV.” This bold EV challenges the idea that electric performance cars must be quiet and sterile.
Catch the full reveal on July 10 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
