Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to Feature 50MP Periscope Zoom Camera Alongside 200MP Main Sensor

A few days ago, reports suggested that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary camera, and now, new details about its telephoto setup have surfaced.
According to trusted Dutch publication GalaxyClub, one of the telephoto cameras on the Galaxy S26 Ultra will sport a 50MP periscope sensor with 5x optical zoom — the same configuration seen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

To recap, the Galaxy S25 Ultra came with two telephoto cameras: a 50MP 5x periscope zoom and a 10MP 3x telephoto sensor. However, recent rumors hint that the S26 Ultra’s second telephoto camera might make a significant leap to a 200MP sensor. That would be a massive upgrade, but we’ll need to wait for more leaks or official confirmation before getting our hopes up.

There’s also talk about the Galaxy S26 Ultra possibly featuring a variable aperture on its 200MP main sensor, which could further boost its low-light and portrait photography capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January 2026, so more reliable information about its camera hardware should emerge in the coming months.
