Skoda Enyaq Cargo: Electric Family SUV Transformed Into Work-Ready Commercial Van

In a surprising yet innovative move, Å koda has transformed its award-winning Enyaq electric SUV into a fully functional commercial vehicle. The new Å koda Enyaq Cargo is designed for fleet operators and tradespeople, combining the comfort and range of an EV with the practicality of a van.
This unique conversion was initiated by National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED), which sought an all-electric solution for its field service fleet. Partnering with Å koda UK and conversion specialist Strongs Plastic Products Ltd, NGED helped bring the Enyaq Cargo to life. The process involves removing the rear seats of the standard Enyaq and replacing them with a flat, durable plastic load floor and a full-height partition, turning the SUV into a certified Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV).

The Enyaq Cargo is available in two powertrain options:
Enyaq 85 RWD with up to 578 km WLTP range

Enyaq 85x AWD offering 534 km range and enhanced traction

Both versions support rapid DC charging — 135 kW for the 85 and 175 kW for the 85x — enabling a 10–80% recharge in just 28 minutes, ideal for busy workdays.
While the Enyaq Cargo retains the tech-savvy interior of its passenger car roots, it’s purpose-built for professionals. It’s currently exclusive to UK fleet customers, with pricing starting from €51,960 for the base vehicle and €2,128 plus tax for the commercial conversion.

This marks the first commercial EV offering from Å koda, signaling a growing trend of electrified utility vehicles tailored for real-world work environments.
