Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Leak: 4.74GHz Clock Speed, Adreno 840 GPU & 4M+ AnTuTu Score Revealed Ahead of Launch
Just a day after hearing about MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 breaking the 4GHz barrier, new leaks have surfaced regarding its main rival — Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Slated for a late September 2025 launch, the upcoming flagship SoC is shaping up to be a performance monster.
According to the latest rumors, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will feature CPU clock speeds of up to 4.6GHz for the standard version. However, the special "for Galaxy" edition, which Samsung is expected to use in select Galaxy S26 models, will take things even further — reaching an astonishing 4.74GHz. This would make it the highest clock speed ever in a mobile chipset.
On the graphics front, the chipset is said to pack the new Adreno 840 GPU, reportedly clocked at up to 1.2GHz. Combined with Qualcomm’s custom Oryon CPU cores and TSMC’s advanced 3nm N3P process, this results in an AnTuTu score exceeding 4 million — and that’s for the regular version, not even the Galaxy-optimized one.
The CPU configuration is expected to include two Prime cores and six Performance cores, offering a balanced blend of raw power and efficiency.
With MediaTek pushing past 4GHz and Qualcomm raising the stakes to nearly 4.75GHz, the mobile SoC race is heating up like never before — and smartphone performance in 2026 is about to hit a new peak.
