Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen Launched with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Wi-Fi 6 & Google TV at Just $46

Just over two years after releasing the original model, Xiaomi is back with the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen, and this time, it’s a major upgrade where it matters most. The new model fixes one of the biggest drawbacks of the first-gen stick — limited HDR support — and introduces several powerful enhancements under the hood.
Powered by a new chipset featuring a quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU and ARM Mali-G310 V2 GPU, the second-gen stick promises an 80% boost in CPU performance and an impressive 150% jump in graphics performance compared to the older model. While the memory remains at 2GB RAM and 8GB storage, the performance gains alone make this a worthwhile upgrade.
A big improvement is the support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+, formats that were missing from the first version. Audio also gets a premium upgrade, with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X now supported. The stick continues to support AV1 decoding, ensuring efficient streaming.

Xiaomi has transitioned the interface to Google TV, a more refined and content-forward experience compared to the older Android TV launcher. Navigating your favorite streaming apps is now more intuitive and visually appealing.
Connectivity is faster too, with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) replacing the older Wi-Fi 5 (ac). Bluetooth 5.2 remains the same, but it continues to support the Bluetooth-based remote control — ideal since the stick will likely be tucked behind your TV.

The upgraded remote includes new shortcut buttons, including YouTube and Apps, in addition to Netflix and Prime Video. It also features a dedicated button for Xiaomi TV+, the company’s free live TV streaming service.
The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K 2nd Gen is currently available on AliExpress for €40 / $46 (with a claimed 52% discount), making it one of the most feature-packed streaming sticks in its price range.
