vivo Y400 Launches with Snapdragon 685, 6,000mAh Battery & IP69 Rating
vivo has just unveiled its latest Y-series smartphone — the vivo Y400, and it packs a solid punch in the budget-to-midrange category. Launched initially in Indonesia, the Y400 is a 4G smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 685 chipset, paired with a massive 6,000mAh battery, offering extended usage and solid performance for everyday tasks.
One of the Y400’s biggest highlights is its IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, a feature rarely seen in phones at this level. On the front, the device sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits peak brightness, and full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage — perfect for vibrant visuals in any lighting.
Photography is handled by a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera, backed by a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The Y400 runs Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, bringing the latest software experience straight out of the box.
Battery life won’t be an issue, thanks to the 6,000mAh cell with support for 44W fast charging, ensuring you're powered throughout the day. Color options include Purple Twilight and Tropical Green, giving users a stylish choice.
While the vivo Y400 is currently listed on vivo Indonesia’s official site, pricing and wider availability details are yet to be confirmed. However, a broader Southeast Asia launch is expected soon.
