Lucid Motors Shatters Delivery Records Again: EV Growth Fueled by Discounts, New SUV, and Hands-Free Tech

Lucid Motors, the California-based luxury EV manufacturer, has just achieved its sixth consecutive quarter of record-breaking deliveries, showcasing strong momentum in an increasingly competitive electric vehicle market.
🔋 Q2 2025: Lucid’s Strongest Yet

In the second quarter of 2025, Lucid delivered 3,309 premium electric vehicles, marking a 38% increase year-over-year and a 6% jump from Q1. The automaker also built 3,863 vehicles, an impressive 83% production increase compared to the same time last year. For the first half of 2025, deliveries are up 47% over 2024.

🚗 Why the Surge? Affordable Luxury & Smart Strategy
A major reason behind this growth is Lucid’s aggressive pricing move. In May 2025, the company launched a compelling leasing offer for the Lucid Air sedan, including stackable discounts of up to €19,200. For reference, the Lucid Air Touring starts around €77,000 — making this a significant price cut for luxury EV buyers.

🛻 The Gravity SUV Is a Game Changer

Another key growth driver is the highly anticipated Lucid Gravity SUV. Over 75% of Gravity pre-orders are from new customers, not existing Lucid owners. Even more telling — many of them are former Tesla drivers, showing Lucid’s appeal is expanding fast.

With up to 724 km of range and 400 kW ultra-fast DC charging, the Gravity boasts industry-leading performance, positioning it as one of the most capable EVs in the US market today.

⚡ Lucid Air Sets Efficiency Record
Lucid’s innovation isn’t just about new models. Its flagship Air sedan recently set a new world record by driving 1,205 km on a single charge, making it the most efficient EV on the road.

🤖 Hands-Free Driving Comes to Lucid via OTA Update

To stay ahead of the competition, Lucid is also rolling out hands-free driving and automated lane change features via an over-the-air (OTA) update. Starting July 30, Lucid Air models with DreamDrive Pro will support hands-free driving on divided highways, with the Gravity SUV following later this year.
This advanced system uses 32 sensors, including LiDAR, radar, ultrasonic sensors, and 12 cameras, allowing the car to steer, accelerate, brake, and change lanes automatically — when it’s safe to do so.

The DreamDrive Pro package is a €2,100 upgrade for most Lucid Air trims and €5,760 for the Gravity SUV, offering future-proof tech and a taste of autonomous driving.
Lucid is proving that smart pricing, breakthrough technology, and expanding product lines can win over luxury EV buyers — and even pull them away from Tesla.
