OnePlus Nord 5 Unboxing: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 144Hz Display, and Premium Marble Sands Finish
Today, we’re taking a first look at the OnePlus Nord 5, the newest mainline entry in OnePlus’ popular Nord series. Launching next week alongside the Nord CE5, the Nord 5 brings flagship power at an affordable price—and we’ve got the unboxing experience right here.
The device ships in a familiar blue Nord box, minimal on the outside with no front-facing model number, staying true to the Nord identity. Inside, you'll find the phone itself, an 80W SUPERVOOC charger, USB-C cable, and a dark gray silicone case included in the box.
Our unit is the Marble Sands edition, showcasing a gorgeous champagne gold frame with a glass back that features a stunning, marble-like texture. The 3D etched pattern gives it a unique look that shimmers beautifully under light—something that’s tough to capture on camera and better appreciated in person.
However, unlike the solid aluminum body of the Nord 4, the Nord 5 opts for a plastic frame, which may feel like a step down in build quality.
Flipping to the back, OnePlus has gone with a vertical dual-camera layout, a shift back from the horizontal design seen on the Nord 4. The main shooter is a 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor with OIS, and on the front, you get a 50MP Samsung JN5 selfie camera with autofocus—great upgrades all around.
Under the hood, the Nord 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, making it the first Nord to feature a flagship-grade chipset. Gamers will also love the 144Hz refresh rate support in titles like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile.
The official launch happens on July 8, so stay tuned for our full review and in-depth testing.
