OnePlus Nord CE5 Unboxing & First Look: Dimensity 8350, 7100mAh Battery & More!

Today, we’re unboxing the new OnePlus Nord CE5, the second phone launching next week alongside the OnePlus Nord 5. We’ve already covered the Nord 5 in a separate post, and now it’s time to dive into what the Nord CE5 has to offer.

For those unfamiliar with the lineup, the Nord series hierarchy goes: Nord > Nord CE > Nord CE Lite. That places the Nord CE5 as the more affordable sibling of the Nord 5—slightly scaled down in features, performance, and pricing.

The Nord CE5 packaging is nearly identical to that of the Nord 5. In fact, the boxes are so similar that you could mix them up unless you check the side or back, where the model name is printed. The front is dominated by the minimalistic Nord branding—repeated thrice just to make sure you see it.

Speaking of the Nexus Blue color—it’s a bold, borderline-violet shade that looks elegant despite lacking the light tricks of higher-end finishes. The phone is built with a plastic frame and back, but the materials are textured to feel comfortable and sturdy in hand.

On the inside, the Nord CE5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM. The battery is a standout feature: a massive 7100mAh cell that OnePlus claims can fully charge in 59 minutes using the included 80W charger.

For photography, the CE5 features a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS and support for 4K 60fps HDR video recording—a rare feature at this price point.
