Samsung Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic Leak Reveals New Squircle Design Ahead of Unpacked Event

Samsung is set to host its next Galaxy Unpacked event this Wednesday, where the spotlight will shine on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7, Flip7, and a new generation of smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic.
Galaxy Watch8 Series Design: Squircle is In

Leaked promotional images now confirm the much-rumored squircle-shaped case design for both models, aligning with the design language introduced by last year’s Galaxy Watch Ultra. Despite the change in the casing shape, the displays remain circular, preserving the traditional smartwatch aesthetic.

The Galaxy Watch8 Classic will also retain the iconic rotating bezel, complete with raised grooves for improved grip and functionality. The standard Watch8 features two side buttons, while the Classic adds a third button, positioned in between.

Performance and Hardware

Both models are expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos W1000 chipset, the same one used in the Watch7 series. While performance improvements may be modest, users can look forward to refined design upgrades and a slight battery capacity increase.
Galaxy Watch Lineup Pricing Snapshot

Galaxy Watch Ultra (32GB/2GB RAM) – €359.99

Galaxy Watch7 (32GB/2GB RAM) – €165.90

With the Watch8 series, Samsung appears focused on blending style with subtle performance enhancements—appealing to both fitness enthusiasts and tech-savvy users.
